Moisture Barrier:
Aluminum coil cladding sheet can be factory applied with moisture barrier, the function is to prevent galvanic and chemical corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals in the presense of moisture, and by certain insulation materials when the sheets are installed over damp insulation materials. We have two types moisture barrier: PolySurlyn and Craft paper.
Why to stucco embossed?
1.To increase its strength, ductility, and lifetime.
2.Stucco embossed finish hides small imperfections and scratches caused by physical damage during or after installation, and reduces sunlight reflection. It's also called "orange peel" pattern.
Polysurlyn Moisture Barrier:
1.Blue polysurlyn barrier is made of Dupont's Surlyn, co-extrusion polyethylene, blue film and covered with sun protection film. Total thickness is only 0.076mm.
2. It is easy to heat laminate on aluminum, stainless steel and other metal surface.
3. The barrier has high tearing strength, it is durable and has excellent weatherability.
4. This barrier prevents moisture and corrosion inside jacketing from direct contact with insulation causing galvanic or chamical corrosion, thus extends the usage expectancy of metal jacketing.
5. Metal jacketing with polysurlyn are suitable for most general purpose industrial conditions existing in refineries,power plants, plants,chemical plant, and used for the protection of pipes and tanks, as well as vessels.
